Our Family's Weekly Verse

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and prophets.

Matthew 22, 37-40

My House is Always Clean

Yeah right! It's more like a disaster zone! I really try and be organized. I have a schedule that has the entire day broken into half hour periods. We have three half hour times scheduled for house cleaning everyday. You'd think with that much time set aside for cleaning my house would look great. Somehow, in spite of my efforts, the house continues to be messy and dirty. Don't get me wrong. It does get clean, but never seems to stay that way. I want to get in a routine that keeps my house clean. Wouldn't it be nice not to be totally embarrassed what an unexpected guest stops by?

I stumbled across a site today that I hope holds the answer to my cluttered and dirty home. Its called FlyLady. She has a step by step program for cleaning and decluttering your house. The goal is to get in the habit of keeping it clean. You can also join and receive emails with more tips on cleaning and decluttering. Some of the tips are geared towards getting your children involved. I'm signing up and hoping to form some new, neat and clean habits. Right now, I'm off to do step one from FlyLady, polish my sink. Who knows, if you stop by my house unexpected in a couple weeks, it might be...gasp, clean!
